Distortion phantom

Introduction
The dimensions of the (Geometric) Distortion Phantom are 320 x 260 mm. This phantom contains a wire mesh of horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines (45o). For tomography systems a special low contrast 3D geometric distortion phantom is available.
Applications
The phantom can be used for verification if there is no geometric distortion visible in images. According to the European guidelines for Mammography the geometric distortion has to be evaluated by measuring the distances on an image with the phantom. Also it has to be checked if the borders and the lines at the phantom are visible and straight.
