Step wedges
Introduction
Step wedges are used for calibration of mammography, radiology and fluoroscopy machines and evaluation of techniques. The step wedges can be used to show that machines are able to image different tissue thicknesses.
Types
We offer different step wedges:
Step wedge type 1
- Aluminium
- High purity (96%)
- 14 steps from 0:0.4:5.2 mm and a fully absorbing pane
- The stairs are continue with low variation in gray scale
Step wedge type 2
- Aluminium
- High purity (96%)
- 10 steps, thickness 0.75:0.25:3.00cm.
- The stairs are continue with low variation in gray scale
- Each stair is 10x10 mm
Step wedge type 3
- Aluminium
- High purity (96%)
- The stairs are continue with low variation in gray scale
- 5 steps: 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, 7 and 9 mm
Step wedge type 4
- PMMA
- 15 steps, thickness 1:3:43 mm
- Each stair is 20x20 mm
- The wedge is 40x162.5x40 mm
- Different sizes are possible
