Introduction to functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS)
As the use of functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy continues to grow each year, we are excited to offer our expertise to ensure that everyone can use this equipment to its full potential. In light of this, Soterix Medical is partnering with Artinis to host a one-day introductory course on fNIRS that is open to anyone interested in Near Infrared Spectroscopy, including students, postgraduates, researchers, new users, and other professionals. All fNIRS enthusiasts are welcome!
LOCATION & SCHEDULEThis introduction to fNIRS course will be held on Friday, 10th October 2025 from 9:00 AM until 4:30 PM at the Residence Inn by Marriott New York Manhattan/Times Square.
PROGRAMThe fNIRS introduction course will be divided into two different parts:
Theoretical background — learn more about:
The theory and technology behind fNIRS
fNIRS applications in the fields of neuroscience, psychology, and sports science
Applicable experimental setup and analysis methods
Practical hands-on session: Put the acquired theoretical knowledge into practice and perform different fNIRS experiments from set-up to simple data analysis
PRACTICAL INFORMATIONAttendance to the course is $300.
Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided.
This fNIRS introduction course has limited spots. Therefore, we operate on a ‘first come, first served’ policy.
