Technical Support Engineer
Location: Oldenzaal, Overijssel, Nederland
Artinis is looking for a Technical Support Engineer who is enthusiastic and driven by the development of biomedical devices (EEG, HD-EMG and NIRS) and motivated to assist our many (potential) customers from all over the world. In this role, you combine your biomedical engineering knowledge with strong communication skills to support our customers worldwide. You will be the go-to person for researchers, clinicians, and partners who use our products, ensuring they get the most out of our innovative technologies.
This position sits at the intersection of engineering and customer interaction: you will help troubleshoot, train, and guide customers, while also collaborating with our R&D team to provide valuable feedback for future improvements. If you enjoy solving problems, explaining complex technology in a clear way, and working with cutting-edge biomedical devices, this job is for you.
Key responsibilities
Support the sales team with technical expertise during product demos and customer interactions.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and data analysis questions in collaboration with the R&D team.
Translate customer feedback into product improvement ideas and communicate them with the development team.
Independent working within multidisciplinary project teams to provide characterization strategies for product specifications.
Write and maintain technical documentation, FAQs, and training materials.
Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in NIRS, EEG and EMG technologies.
Supporting new product development, regulatory submissions and post-launch activities.
Qualifications
BSc or MSc Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Movement Science, Life Sciences, Physics, or a similar technical field.
0–3 years of experience (recent graduates welcome).
Strong interest in biomedical technology and human measurements (e.g. NIRS, electrophysiology, neuroscience).
Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written); Dutch (or any other language) is a plus.
Practical and service-oriented mindset, with the ability to explain complex technology clearly.
Hands-on mentality with problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.
Experience with Python and/or MATLAB
Willing to work in an experimental environment performing hands-on experiments and be able to communicate findings (oral and written) to the project team.
