Hyperscanning summer school
Many brains, one hub.
Big group brain research made easy
Perform hyperscanning experiments with up to 30 participants using the Brite Ultra system. Powered by multiple Brite Ultra devices, the system offers flexibility in optode layout, allowing you to focus on the cortical areas most relevant to your research. Whether you're working in a controlled lab or a more naturalistic setting, the Brite Ultra's portability and wireless characteristics allow the system to adapt easily to different group sizes and environments. As your study grows, you can seamlessly add more Brite devices to expand your setup when needed.
Seamless synchronization in one hub
Get a complete overview of perfectly synchronized (f)NIRS data from all participants with the Brite Ultra system. Designed for large-scale hyperscanning experience, the system supports an efficient research coordinator–assistant workflow, making even mass measurements practical. Multiple users can access the software simultaneously to set up and monitor the experiment in real time. All data is displayed, synchronized, and saved in a single .SNIRF file.
For multimodal integration, the PortaSync—fully compatible with Brite Connect Ultra—enables seamless event synchronization with other technologies and data files. This means the possibility to easily integrate the Brite devices with other modalities, such as EEG.
Perform hyperscanning experiments with up to 30 Brite Ultra devices simultaneously in the same environment
Receive a whole hyperscanning overview of perfectly synchronized wireless NIRS data on one platform
With a mobile connection hub, wireless data streaming, and wearable Brite systems, this setup is ideal for mass hyperscanning in naturalistic settings.
Benefit from an innovative workflow designed to make large-scale hyperscanning both efficient and practical
Dedicated mass fNIRS hyperscanning Software
Brite Connect Ultra
Our Brite Connect Ultra software allows for simultaneous group measurements. The system can connect up to 30 Brite Ultra and 10 PortaSync devices. The data is perfectly synchronized, displayed, and stored within one measurement file.
This dedicated fNIRS hyperscanning software enables you to:
Record data of multiple Brite Ultra and PortaSync devices in real-time
Check the signal quality of all connected devices simultaneously and individually
Insert events during data collection
Export the data to .snirf
The virtue of fNIRS hyperscanning
Social interactions are a crucial part of human life, and understanding the neural underpinnings of it is a challenging task. Thus, measuring brain activity and interconnectivity in multiple participants at the same time becomes increasingly significant. Our Brite Connect Ultra, integrating advanced fNIRS technology, provides a straightforward and efficient solution for conducting large-group hyperscanning measurements in naturalistic settings. It is well-suited for various environments, including classrooms, control rooms, sports fields, cockpits, and any setting where investigations involving multiple individuals as a group are conducted.
