Brite News - Significantly decrease your setup time with our new Brite
At Artinis, we continuously strive to improve our (f)NIRS devices to be able to provide the best solution for every research application. Therefore, we are happy to announce the release of our new Brite MKIV, which comes with improved hardware features, latest software solutions, and new accessories - to even further expand use of fNIRS in any setting and subject.
Our Brite Family incorporates a group of multi-channel fNIRS devices that are truly portable, easy to use and comfortable – and hence perfect for application in any setting. As the family’s flag ship device, the Brite is our most versatile fNIRS product measuring brain activity from any cortical region with up to 27 channels and just less than 300 g of weight.
To further enhance setup time and application possibilities, we now offer the Brite MKIV coming with brand-new features and accessories:
Are you interested in one of our other Brite Family devices, such as the Brite Lite (Frontal), or Brite Frontal? No worries, those naturally come with the same updates and innovations.
Novel Receivers - Significantly faster setup in every subject and measurement area
The Brite MKIV comes with novel receivers with enhanced sensitivity leading to easier achievement of good signal quality especially when measuring over dark or thick hair. In a nutshell, this significantly reduces setup time - ensuring quick measurements in every subject, from any brain area and in every setting.
TetraBrite – Easy performance of (almost) full-head measurements
Measuring fNIRS over the complete head recently gained increased attention in neuroscience and clinical applications. Hence, we are happy to share that we now offer our novel Brite model also in a four-device configuration – to expand the measurement area to 100+ channels for guaranteeing (almost) full-head coverage. To ensure comfort and portability, the TetraBrite comes with extended cables and a customized body mount.
Novel and improved accessories – Maximized options from software to headcaps
To further promote fNIRS usage in subjects of all ages, genders and races, the Brite MKIV comes with a bunch of new and improved accessories.
Improved software – New versions of Brite Connect and OxySoft
Not only the Brite devices itself, but also our dedicated data acquisition software solutions impress with new features and updates.
Brite Connect, our software for easy fNIRS recordings, now supports usage of up to four Brite devices at the same time, boosting flexibility to perform group hyperscanning or near-fullhead measurements.
Further, it supports the usage of Wi-Fi allowing for wireless connection in environments where the use of Bluetooth might not be the best option.
The latest version of OxySoft now enables you for instance to conveniently include 3D coordinates when exporting data to .snirf, in case optodes were digitized previously.
Headcap MKII – Improved design for easy and accurate measurements
The new headcap MKII includes scaled sizing to ensure comparability amongst headcap sizes & comes with printed indications for 10-20 system and numbered holes for quick and easy setup of our MultiBrite devices, such as TetraBrite. Hence, it optimizes setup and accuracy of fNIRS measurements even in case of near-full head coverage.
Two types of headcaps – Oval and round fit, suitable for every subject
To provide the perfect headcap suitable for every participant, we now offer two types of headcap fits – round and oval. This does not only increase comfort, but can also improve optode fit and signal quality.
